Kiska!

We adopted Kiska on September 13th, 2003, and she has brought us oodles of joy since then. She was so very timid when we first saw her, crouching in her pen, shrinking away from all the other barking dogs. She was listed on Petfinder and we adopted her at a dog adoption fair sponsored by Take Me Home.

She is (we think) part American Eskimo and part Golden Retriever. She doesn't fetch or lick our faces, but she cuddles like nobody's business and is perfectly at home prancing and pouncing around in the snow. Winter is her favourite season and the effect snow has on her is a particular joy to watch. She becomes so much more alive in the snow. Snow snow snow!!
